Question 1

What is CiteRank?

Accepted Answer

CiteRank is an algorithmic score that measures how often AI systems - ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, and Copilot - cite you when someone asks questions in your area of expertise. It reflects citation frequency, topical authority, topic coverage, and peer standing across your niche. It is not an editorial assessment or a review.

Question 2

Is my data private?

Accepted Answer

CiteRank is computed from publicly available web content and AI system responses to standardized queries. We do not store private messages, scrape paywalled content, or sell your data.

Question 3

How often is my score updated?

Accepted Answer

Scores for claimed profiles are updated weekly. Unclaimed (pre-computed) profiles are updated monthly as part of the corpus refresh.

Question 4

What if I want my profile removed?

Accepted Answer

If you are a public-figure voice in a professional domain, your profile reflects publicly observable citation patterns and is generally not removable. If you believe your profile contains inaccurate or private information, you can submit a correction request via our Takedown page.
